Messi's Ex coach reveals main difference between Leo and 'rebel' Maradona

Fernando Signorini notices that Messi has a less explosive temperament than Diego.

He hails the way Barca's captain has matured in recent years.

"Maradona was a charismatic leader, a rebel who was difficult to handle," former Argentina physical trainer Fernando Signorini has recently stated, as quoted by Marca.

On Leo Messi, he added: "While Messi has another background and less explosive temperament.

But in the last two years, he's shown a different attitude and maturity that Maradona completed long before him, probably out of necessity."

Maradona's playing career was marred by the numerous off-field incidents, including the infamous a 15-month ban for failing a drug test for cocaine during his Napoli times in the early 1990s.

By contrast, Leo has been at his very best for Barcelona for almost 15 years from scoring his debut La Liga goal in 2005 to winning the record-breaking Pichichi award in 2020.
