Barca plan to renew their stadium but the economic crisis has postponed the plans.

The aim is to increase the capacity of the stadium to around 105,000.

The club also plans to build a sporting complex to host all of Barca sporting teams.

"The impact of COVID-19 has been significant, revenues have fallen by 20%; We will present losses," Barcelona vice-president Jordi Moix has told La Vanguardia.

"I see the new Camp Nou [ready] in 2025, Espai Barca is needed more than ever. We are working with an average scenario of a forecast that there may be an audience at the Camp Nou in December or January."

According to the club's plans, the renovated Camp Nou should be able to host around 105,000 fans. It will also have a roof so all seats would be sheltered.

Espai Barca is a bigger project that includes the playing facilities for all of the club's sporting teams, including the first team — Barca B, Barca Femeni, Barca Femeni B (all football), beach soccer, basketball, wheelchair basketball, handball, roller hockey, ice hockey, rugby, futsal and volleyball (men and women).
