Players who can revive their careers under Koeman after difficult start

Koeman's appointment could serve as a breath of fresh air for these five players.

Antoine Griezmann
The Frenchman's debut season at Barcelona wasn't terrible but it wasn't quite what the fans expected either. Ronald Koeman loves hard-working players and the 29-year-old will should fit well into his tactics.

The big question is whether the new coach will continue using Griezzy on the flank or he'll move him to centre-forward where he feels better. All in all, there's a chance that we could see the player back at his Atletico Madrid level.

Jean-Clair Todibo
The young defender could get a chance to stay at Camp Nou as Blaugrana look to rejuvenate their squad. Koeman didn't hesitate to use Matthijs de Ligt as an undisputed starter at the Netherlands national team despite his age.

Perhaps the 20-year-old could win a role in the starting XI under the new coach as well.

After all, we've seen some good performances from him during his loan at Schalke 04.

Ousmane Dembele
The 23-year-old had an awful 2019/20 season, playing only nine games because of his injuries. If he manages to stay fit next season, the Dutch coach might restore his role as a starter on the left wing, as Griezmann clearly doesn't fit the profile.

Philippe Coutinho
Despite all the earlier reports, the attacking midfielder might stay at Blaugrana for the next season. Koeman played with a 4-2-3-1 formation at Holland meaning that the 28-year-old could finally get the chance to be used in his natural position at Camp Nou.

This term, the Brazilian has played mainly as an attacking midfielder for Bayern Munich and recorded 11 goals and nine assists in 36 matches.

Junior Firpo
Jordi Alba has had a mediocre season and even his link with Leo Messi didn't save him. Considering that he's already 31 years old, the new boss will give chances to the younger left-back to prove himself. Although he looked bleak most of the times, Firpo did have a few promising performances.

Last term, the 23-year-old recorded one goal and two assists in 23 matches, which is fairly decent, keeping in mind that it was his first season at Barcelona.
