Rafinha close friends deny player being close to joining Lazio

The Brazilian's future will be decided by Ronald Koeman.

There have been reports saying that Rafinha was close to joining Lazio for €12m.

However, Mundo Deportivo claim that the 27-year-old's camp denies the rumours about and incoming Serie A move.

They also confirm that there are many clubs interested in the midfielder but none are willing to meet Barcelona's asking price.

'Rafa' has already started the pre-season at Camp Nou and hopes to join the first team once they return to training on August 31.

The La Masia graduate has a contract with Barca until 2021 and a release clause of only €16m.

Rafinha has spent the 2019/20 season on loan at Celta Vigo where he managed four goals and two assists in 30 matches.
