Real Madrid reportedly monitoring the situation of Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar

Real Madrid are tracking the situation of Olympique Lyonnais midfielder Houssem Aouar, according to Catalan-based outlet Mundo Deportivo.

Zinedine Zidane is said to be a big fan of Aouar, who excelled for Lyon in their amazing Champions League campaign as they were knocked out in the semi-finals by Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

Aouar reportedly idolizes Karim Benzema and would be more than happy to move to Madrid if he gets such a chance.

Lyon recently confirmed that the creative midfielder would be sold in the summer, so Los Blancos have a great opportunity to sign a brilliant midfielder to bolster their midfield.

But Madrid have already reportedly told their squad that no signings will be made this summer, so it remains to be seen whether that decision changes or not.
