Ronaldo reveals why Madrid should sign Mbappe ahead of Neymar

The legendary striker believes Madrid should invest big on improving their future core.

He thinks it would only be logical to sign the younger star of the brilliant PSG duo.

When asked on whether Real Madrid should invest in Kylian Mbappe or Neymar, former Madrid striker Ronaldo said (as quoted by Marca): “Right now, it is not that one is better than another, but if Real Madrid had to make a big investment, they should do so thinking about the future.

“Neymar is 28 years old and Mbappe is 22. As an investment, it would be more logical to bring the younger [of the two]”

Los Blancos do view Mbappe as a cornerstone of their future success and will make a prominent attempt to sign him next year, with financial troubles limiting them from going for him this time around.

However, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has made it clear that the Frenchman will never leave the club, so it’ll probably take some cunning negotiating to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu next season.
