Seedorf expects more from great talent and hope to see much more from De Jong at Barcelona.

Seedorf backs De Jong for international glory and claims its not easy for De Jong to come to a new country and perform there.

"He's a great player, a great talent and we hope to see much more from him over the coming years," Milan legend Clarence Seedorf has told Stats Perform News when asked on his fellow countryman Frenkie de Jong.

"It's not easy to come to a new country and a new club and perform. Barcelona... it's a privilege to come to a team that knows themselves so well, and you come into the same type of system.

"Frenkie will become better and better hopefully over the next years and we can enjoy his talent on the international pitches."

De Jong has scored two goals and provided four assists in 40 games in his debut season for Barcelona following the €75m transfer last year.

Sadly, the 23-year-old hasn't had much chance to play at his preferred position as a pivot midfielder because Sergio Busquets has cemented this place.
