Setien reveals reason behind Riqui Puig and Ansu Fati absence vs Napoli

Setien says the circumstances weren't right to sub them in.

"No Riqui Puig and/or Ansu Fati? The circumstances of the game have led us to make certain decisions," Quique Setien explained after the Champions League game against Napoli.

In case you missed the match, both La Masia youngsters remained on the bench for the entire match despite many fans expecting them to be subbed on in the second half.

The coach made only two subs against the Serie A outfit, replacing Antoine Griezmann with Monchu in the 84th minute and Luis Suarez with Junior Firpo in the 92nd.

Ironically, Setien didn't allow Puig and Fati to play in the promotion play-offs with Barca B because he said he needed them for Napoli, only to sub in Monchu, who played all three games for the reserves.
