Sevilla 'making move to sign Oscar Rodriguez from Madrid

The Europa League champions want to boost their side to compete in Champions League next season.

Sevilla are now going to attempt to sign Oscar Rodriguez from Real Madrid in the summer, according to Marca.

Julen Lopetegui is said to be a fan of the winger’s versatility and believes that virtue can make him valuable for his side.

But, the main issue is that the La Liga side aren’t quite intent on matching Oscar’s €20m asking price, but would be willing to negotiate a price for him.

Madrid aren’t ruling out the possibility of including a buy-back clause if they sell the 22-year-old in the summer.

Oscar would himself prefer to join a club that can guarantee him Champions League football, so that could give Sevilla an edge over AC Milan – who are also said to be interested in signing him.
