Sevilla on the verge of signing Barcelona big wage player 'Ivan Rakitic' for free

Sevilla will sign their former player Ivan Rakitic for free, Onda Cero's Alfredo Martinez reports.

However, Barcelona don't mind it as the midfielder is earning €8m per year at the club; they're satisfied to at least lighten their wage bill.

Meanwhile, the 32-year-old has only one more year left on his contract with the Catalans.

Back in 2018, it was reported that Blaugrana had rejected an €80m offer from Paris Saint-Germain for the Croatia international.

After being an undisputed starter for five seasons, Rakitic lost his importance to the team last term, registering only 22 starts.

In total, Ivan has made 310 appearances for Barca, scoring 35 goals and providing 42 assists, as per Transfermarkt.
