Villarreal on the verge of signing Real Madrid Kubo on one-year loan deal.

Villarreal have reached an agreement with Real Madrid to sign Takefusa Kubo on a one-year loan deal, according to Diario AS.

The report suggests that a formal announcement is expected to come either later today or tomorrow with everything agreed between all relevant parties.

Kubo was said to be in the radar of many La Liga clubs, including Real Betis, Sevilla and supposed ‘favourites’ Osasuna – but the Yellow Submarines have seemingly outfoxed them to his signing.

The Japanese winger will now be able to play in the UEFA Europa League next season at Villarreal and gain the necessary experience needed to become Madrid regular in the near future.
