Ansu Fati looking to win a place in Barcelona boss Koeman first eleven after beautiful Spain debut

Fati says he's honoured to have had the chance to work under Luis Enrique at the national team.

Having scored his debut goal for Ukraine, the youngster is now determined to fight for a place at Barca.

"It's an honour to work with Luis Enrique. Everyone has welcomed me with open arms. Now I have to convince Ronald Koeman as well.

I will work with humility and everything else will come," Ansu Fati has said following the game against Ukraine.

"I'm super proud to have made my full debut for Spain. Before I went out, the coach just told me that I'd only ever make one full debut and to enjoy myself.

"It seems I'm the 800th person to play for Spain and I'm proud of that achievement. There's been a stream of great players in that time.

"I've enjoyed the congratulations from the coach and my teammates but now my job is to work hard and continue to earn more opportunities."

Thanks to his goal against Ukraine, Assumane is now the youngest goalscorer in La Roja's history. With his national duties over, the 17-year-old is set to return to training at Barcelona.
