Luis Suarez has left Wednesday's training session in tears, both La Sexta and ESPN confirm.
He has already said goodbye to his Barcelona teammates as his exit now looks imminent.
Gerard Romero of RAC1 adds that the striker will officially terminate his contract in the next few hours.
The farewell press conference is expected for tomorrow.
For a couple of days, it's been widely reported that Suarez has agreed to join Atletico Madrid on a free transfer.
The Catalans would only receive €4m in the performance-based add-ons.
