Liverpool defender Robertson: 'we don't want Messi anywhere near Premier League'

Andy Robertson jokes he would only accept if Leo joins Liverpool.

The defender admits that facing Messi was the hardest games he's ever played.

"I think Liverpool have ruled out that we could sign him so I don’t want him anywhere near the Premier League and hopefully it stays that way," Liverpool defender Andy Robertson told Sky Sports when asked on Leo Messi's future.

He added: "I’ve played against him twice and it’s the hardest games I’ve ever played."

Manchester City were believed to be the main candidates to land Leo after the news on his decision to leave broke last week.

Luckily for Robertson - and all Barca fans, there are now huge doubts whether Messi is really going to leave Barcelona this summer as he is reportedly planning a U-Turn after his father held crunch talks with Josep Maria Bartomeu.
