PSG warning to Real Madrid over Mbappe linked

Leonardo Araujo has hinted at a contract renewal for the young Frenchman.

He also feels that Mbappe and Neymar are the best in the world after Ronaldo and Messi.

PSG Sports Director Leonardo Araujo told Telefoot: "We want to continue with Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, it is clear.

"We have already spoken with both, we must find the ideal moment to negotiate renewals. To have two such players in the same squad, two of the best players in the world after [Lionel] Messi and [Cristiano] Ronaldo is huge."

This does not come as good news for Real Madrid since Zinedine Zidane is believed to have marked the young Frenchman as a priority target for 2021.

Mbappe's current deal will expire in 2022, meaning he could be available for a cut-price fee next year. However, if he signs a new contract, our chances of signing him will be affected.

Los Blancos will not make any new signings in the ongoing transfer window due to an economic downturn triggered by Covid-19. The focus is on selling players, instead.

However, that does not bode well as far as our chances of signing Mbappe are concerned. While we've also been linked with Neymar in the past, a deal for the young World Cup winner makes more sense.
