Barcelona Coach Koeman reveals the quality that makes Barca's coaching staff special

Koeman says that he brought Larsson as his assistant because he wanted someone who played at Barca and who could work with the forwards.

As for Schreuder, the main coach says he 'had a good feeling' about him.

"First, I know Henrik Larsson very well because we played for two seasons together at Feyenoord and we were still in contact. It wasn't on a daily basis but we were in contact and I was looking forward to having an assistant coach that played for Barcelona," Ronald Koeman has told BarcaTV.

"I had a good feeling about Alfred Schreuder who was the assistant coach at Ajax and after that the head coach at Hoffenheim and he was available.

"I was a defender, Schreuder was a midfielder, and Henrik was a striker, and we have all the positions in our staff. And it's one of the functions of Larsson to bring his experience to the attacking players at Barcelona. I can trust them, I know them and that's really important for the first coach."

Is said that Schreuder was the mastermind behind Ajax's success in the Champions League in the 2018/19 season. As for Larsson, he's never had a job at the top level, only coaching several teams in his home country.
