Barcelona midfielder Pjanic comment his Juventus return: 'It’s quite an emotional moment for me'

Pjanic had spent four years at Juve before joining Barca this summer.

The Catalans will take on the Bianconeri in the Champions Leauge on Wednesday.

The Bosnian expects a difficult match against a tough opponent at the Allianz Stadium.

“I’m very happy to be here and to be back, it’s quite an emotional moment for me,” Miralem Pjanic told the pre-Juventus press conference, as quoted by Football Italia.

“I spent here four years I have positive memories, I am glad to be back here and see people I had worked with, I am glad to see the team and the whole staff but now I am here to prepare a very difficult match against a tough opponent who wants to rank first in the group stage, just like us, we want to be prepared.”

The Bosnian had won four Serie A titles with Juve in four years before joining Barcelona this summer.

The midfielder's start to life at Camp Nou hasn't been a perfect one, partly due to him missing the pre-season after contracting Covid-19.

The 30-year-old has made just three appearances for the Catalans this season so far and hopes to make fourth when Barca take on the Bianconeri in the Champions League on Wednesday.

“Every time there is a match I want to play and I think it’s normal, at the moment I am still adapting, I arrived later than the others because of Covid, I am available to do what the coach wants me to do, I think I can give an important contribution to this team,” Pjanic added.
