Casillas reveals his former trainer at Real Madrid Mourinho was among the first three people to call him after heart attack

Iker Casillas suffered a heart attack in 2019.

The Spaniard reveals Jose Mourinho was one of the first people to ask him how he was doing.

"Few people know this, but Mister Jose Mourinho was one of the first three people who spoke to me to find out how I was doing [after the heart attack]," Iker Casillas has revealed to ESPN.

"I saw people I hadn't seen for a long time. This makes you appreciate the little things in life. You live day to day, you stop closing yourself in your own world, in your head," the Real Madrid legend added.

Casillas' relationship with Jose Mourinho was always said to be strained when both were at Real Madrid.

Iker Casillas suffered a heart attack in May 2019. The Spaniard was rushed to a hospital in Porto but was discharged shortly.
