Catalonia's health minister confirms no fans for Barcelona home games against Ferencvaros or Real Madrid

The epidemilogical situation has deteriorated in Catalonia as the restaurants and bars are now closed for the next 2 weeks.

There will be no spectators at the Camp Nou stadium for the Champions League fixture against Ferencvaros next Tuesday.

Even though UEFA allows 30 per cent of home fans into the stadiums, the local authorities have the final say on this matter.

And Catalonia's health minster Alba Verges has dismissed this possibility due to the new coronavirus outbreak in the region.

She told CatRadio: "In the current situation it is very difficult to even think about it. We must not risk anything."

Similarly, the fans won't be allowed for the game against Real Madrid on October 24.

However, it's hardly surprising because La Liga are still banning the spectators from the stadium, unlike Bundesliga.

It's going to be the first Clasico held behind closed doors in the history of this duel.

More than 2,200 coronavirus cases were registered in Catalonia on Wednesday as the local government have already shut down the restaurants and bars for the next 2 weeks.
