Chelsea boss Frank Lampard impressed with Ziyech's performance against Krasnodar.

Frank Lampard is delighted with Hakim Ziyech's display in the 4-0 win in Russia.

The boss points out that the Moroccan can really produce important assists and break-line passes.

The 27-year-old gives the Blues something completely different to what they have in terms of style.

"He was really good last night, especially considering it was his first start in months," Frank Lampard said of Hakim Ziyech's performance against Krasnodar, quoted by the Blues' official website.

"When we brought Hakim into the club it was because I’d watched him a lot and we’d played against them the year before so I knew his qualities. He’s a winger that gives us real width but also gives us the clever movements when he comes off the line.

"He can really produce important assist passes or break-the-line passes which he takes on that maybe other players don’t so he brings us something certainly different to what we have in terms of style."

On Wednesday, Ziyech made his first start for Chelsea, helping the Blues beat Krasnodar 4-0 on the Champions League matchday 2. In the 79th minute of the clash, the Moroccan found the back of the net and, therefore, scored his first goal for the club.
