Chelsea showing strong interest in Gladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria

Chelsea is one of the 'rivals' to sign Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Denis Zakaria, according to Bild's Christian Falk.

As per the source, Man United and Bayern Munich are also interested in the 23-year-old defensive midfielder.

Zakaria's contract with Gladbach expires in less than two years, so he might be a reasonably affordable option.

The Swiss international is highly rated across Europe but has been sidelined with a serious injury since March.

Besides, Chelsea are known to be pursuing West Ham's Declan Rice as the main target for that role.
