Darren Bent warns Chelsea coach Frank Lampard over playing Kapa: 'It might end up costing Frank his job!'

Darren Bent says he'd start Cech over Kepa. Kepa has no confidence and costs the team points every time he plays.

Lampard should not start him anymore, adds Bent.

Asked who is ahead in Chelsea's pecking order between Kepa Arrizabalaga and Petr Cech, former Spurs striker Darren Bent told talkSPORT: “It’s a difficult question. In regards to me, I’m picking anybody except Kepa. I would go with Petr Cech.

“He’s [Kepa] got no confidence already. It’s already on the floor. He’s got none. Imagine if you then go and play Petr Cech over him as well. What happens to him then?

“Every time Kepa plays he costs them goals and points. If you’ve got a goalkeeper out there who is costing you points and you keep playing him out there, playing him out there and playing him out there, it might end up costing Frank his job!”

Cech was a surprise inclusion in Chelsea's 25-man Premier League squad and while we can't see him starting a game soon, his addition has excited members of the global Chelsea community!

The Spaniard has been poor this season and Edouard Mendy has taken over as the club's number one goalkeeper; barring any unfortunate injuries, it could be a long time before we see Kepa in goal again.
