How Arsenal Have Been Cheating Mesut Ozil Has Been Exposed

Mesut Ozil has not been included in a single Arsenal matchday squad by Mikel Arteta this season having failed to feature in any matches for the Gunners since March.

The midfielder earns a reported £350,000 per week at the Emirates.

Despite that, it’s believed the Gunners have had to pay Ozil an £8m loyalty bonus last month after they failed to sell the World Cup winner

But according to The Athletic, the Premier League giants are saving themselves money by not playing the German international.

It’s reported that the 31-year-old is due bonuses for every appearance he makes due to a clause in the contract he agreed in January 2018.

Ozil is into the final year of his Arsenal contract and former boss Arsene Wenger believes he should try to leave.

Wenger told the BBC: “I feel it is a waste for him. Firstly because he’s in the years where a player of his talent can produce the most.’’
