Luis Enrique defend Barcelona starlet Ansu Fati performance against Switzerland after poor outing: 'It was a difficult game for everyone'

Fati wasn't at his best when Spain beat the Swiss 1-0 over the weekend.

Even though Ansu struggled a bit against the Rossocrociati, the Spain boss has praised the 17-year-old's understanding of the game.

"Man-marking is always a problem for the forwards, for everyone," Luis Enrique said of Ansu Fati's performance in Saturday's 1-0 win over Switzerland in the Nations League, as quoted by Goal.

"Our goal is to create the greatest number of advantages for our attackers. After that, each game is how it is.

"Ansu is 17 years old, but he already knows what he's going to find in matches.

"We have our model because it depends on the work of the whole team. Against Switzerland, it was a difficult game for everyone because of the strong and high pressing from them, but I think we solved things well."

The Barcelona youngster certainly wasn't at his best when La Furia Roja defeated the Rossocrociati over the weekend but he'll have another opportunity to impress in Spain's clash with Ukraine on Tuesday.
