Manchester United Chairman Woodward'considering Mauricio Pochettino as contingency plan for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Mauricio Pochettino has been unemployed since Tottenham sacked him in November 2019. And it could be Pochettino's former employers who lead him to his next job.

According to the Daily Star, Spurs' 6-1 win over United at Old Trafford last weekend has prompted Ed Woodward to consider Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's future.

And Woodward's contingency plan, should the Norwegian leave, is hiring Pochettino as manager.

The report claims Pochettino has been contacted by United about his desire to fulfil the role, should it become available.

Woodward is waiting to see if results improve by the next international break in November before making a decision on Solskjaer.
