Real Madrid winger Rodrigo reveals he doesn't want to be new Neymar but Rodrigo

The Madrid youngster wants to make his own history. However, he hails Neymar and Robinho as two big idols of Brazil.

In an interview with CBF TV, Rodrygo Goes was asked about being compared to Neymar and he replied: "Since I began my career at Santos, they would call me the new Neymar or new Robinho.

"I've always had that burden on me. But I've always said that I want to be Rodrygo and make my own history.

"Robinho and Neymar are two big idols of Santos, of Brazil and of the clubs they've played for.

"But I have only just started and I am not thinking about being the new Neymar. There's only one Neymar.

"Since the start [of my career] I've always had this burden, but I continue wanting to be Rodrygo and not the new Neymar."

The Real Madrid star is filled with potential and he even scored 2 goals in 19 La Liga appearances for the first team last season.

In the ongoing campaign, the 19-year-old has appeared in 2 games - providing one assist.
