Their average age is just 25.2 years.

For comparison, Atletico Madrid's squad's average age is 26.8 while Real Madrid's squad is even older, at 27.1.

Barca are followed by Valencia, aged 25.5, while Osasuna have the oldest squad at 29.1.

If we take a look at the different European top clubs, Juventus have the oldest squad with an average age of 28.4, followed by Inter with 28.2.

At the other end, we have RB Leipzig (23.8), Olympique Lyon (24.3), AC Milan (24.8) and Ajax (25).

By the way, Barca's average age last season was 27.3.

The Catalans even set the new Champions League record back in March when they fielded a team with the average age of 29.6 years old vs Napoli, the oldest XI in the competition's history.

Barca have become 'younger' thanks to the veteran players leaving: Luis Suarez (33 years old), Arturo Vidal (33), Ivan Rakitic (32).

Also, Ansu Fati (17), Riqui Puig (21) and Ronald Araujo (21) have been promoted to the first team.

Besides, the Catalans have brought in Pedri (17), Sergino Dest (19), Francisco Trincao (20) and Matheus Fernandes (22).
