Ronald Koeman confirms Barcelona keeper Ter Stegen out ahead of Real Madrid clash

The coach reveals the German goalkeeper is already training on the pitch.

Still, it will be too early for Ter Stegen to play next week.

"He has been working on the pitch since Monday and he is going well but I don't think he will be ready for the Clasico," Ronald Koeman provided a crucial update on Marc-Andre ter Stegen's fitness.

The coach added, quoted by Goal: "I think it’s going to be too early for him. We shouldn’t rush him back because we’re happy with Neto.

"I hope Marc can be with us soon, but it probably won’t be next week."

Ter Stegen is still recovering from knee surgery he sustained in late August. He is now expected to miss the games against Ferencvaros and Real Madrid on October 20 and 24 respectively.

Neto has been solid so far, conceding just one goal in 3 games.
