Arsenal still so much interested in pursuit of Lyon ace Houssem Aouar

Arsenal hasn't dropped their interest in Lyon ace Houssem Aouar.

The Gunners are getting their list of targets for the summer transfer window drawn up ahead of time.

And the Lyon attacking midfielder is still on manager Mikel Arteta's wishlist after interest earlier this year, according to The Athletic's David Ornstein.

Local lad Aouar, 22, has risen through the ranks at Lyon and was named in the Champions League squad of the season last year.

He was pivotal in Lyon's run to the semi-finals, where they beat Juventus and Manchester City before losing to Bayern Munich.

Ornstein added that the Gunners are also after a right-sided centre-back where there could be a potential shortage in the squad.
