Barca defender Pique decides against knee surgery, set to miss 4 months instead of 6

The 33-year-old apparently is yet to give up hope on playing for Barca again this season.

Gerard Pique decided against undergoing knee surgery following a meeting with Dr Ramon Cugat on Wednesday, Cat Radio report.

Thus, the Barcelona centre-back is now set to miss four months of action after suffering a ligament injury in the Atletico Madrid loss over the weekend.

If the 33-year-old agreed to go under the knife, he'd spend up to six months on the sidelines.

If the report is to be believed, Pique could realistically return to full fitness in March 2021.
