Barcelona B team keeper Inaki Pena names Valdes and Ter Stegen as his 2 idols

Pena says that Valdes was his childhood idol and Ter Stegen is the current one.

Inaki praises Marc-Andre for his personality and says that the German helps him a lot in training.

Pena believes that Ter Stegen is the number one goalkeeper in the world at the moment.

"Victor Valdes was my childhood idol. When I started playing as a goalkeeper, he was my reference and I always paid attention to him. Valdes is the golden standard of La Masia goalkeepers. As a child you wanted to be like him, to make your debut and win titles," Barcelona B goalkeeper Inaki Pena has told Diario Sport.

"Marc-Andre ter Stegen is my idol now. Before he signed for Barca, I didn't know much about him, but he soon showed his level. His character, personality and quality are the best."

The young goalkeeper also opened up on working with Ter Stegen and Neto in training.

"Barcelona is the best club in the world, there's a lot of pressure and no room for error. Ter Stegen and Neto have a lot of quality.

"As a person, Ter Stegen is a ten. He's attentive, gives you advice, is always aware of what you do, helps you improve, asks you questions. I learn a lot with him and I'm fortunate because he is the best in the world.

Formally, Inaki Pena is a Barca B player, but he actually acts as the third-choice goalkeeper at the first team. He trains with the seniors on a daily basis and is even summoned up for matches. Unfortunately, he's yet to make his debut.

What's interesting, Pena is the only player from the reserves to have his own locker at Camp Nou alongside the first-team players.
