Barcelona Presidential candidate Freixa reveals Barca haven't won Champions League since he left

Freixa left Barca in 2015 as his role as one of Barca's directors dwindled.

He is now believed to be Bartomeu's favourite to win the elections.

"I am not giving myself a medal but since I left [the board], Barcelona have not won another Champions League," presidential candidate Toni Freixa told Onda Cero.

He quickly realized what a bizarre statement he made, adding: "Although they did not win it because I was there, obviously."

Freixa used to be a spokesman at Barca during Sandro Rosell's reign. His role had been dwindling before he resigned in 2015.

Now, he is believed to be the closest candidate to Josep Maria Bartomeu.

Cules are not fans of Freixa due to his close links to Bartomeu and attack on Leo Messi.
