Gerard Pique reveals how he felt on Luis Suarez's Barcelona exit

The veteran defender confesses he was very sad to see the Uruguayan leave this autumn.

Pique says they spent a lot of time together, training and travelling to the games.

"I was very sad when Luis [Suarez] left, he spent many years here and we shared many experiences," Gerard Pique confessed to Radio Marca.

"You play with each other for 90 minutes, but you spend many hours with them. We see them every morning, we travel, we are in the hotels, it is as if he was a classmate."

Suarez and Pique played for Barcelona between 2014 and 2020, winning 13 trophies together. The Uruguayan left for Atletico Madrid this autumn.

Meanwhile, the veteran defender is currently out for up to 4 months with a serious knee injury.
