'His quality cannot be doubted': Barcelona Koeman overjoyed with Dembele performance

The coach backs Ousmane to prove his worth while Ansu Fati is out injured.

The Dutchman has clearly changed his stance on the French winger after trying to get rid of him in early October.

"Above all, the player himself is physically better, he has trained hard, he has done extra sessions. When he's in good shape, his quality cannot be doubted," Ronald Koeman told Mundo Deportivo on Ousmane Dembele's progress.

The coach backed the French to make the best out of Fati's injury lay-off, adding: "Of course, now that we are missing Ansu, Ousmane has to show his quality, as he's been showing lately."

Koeman has clearly changed his stance on Dembele as he not-so-subtly hinted at the player's exit in early October.

The Frenchman has earned the manager's trust, scoring 3 goals in 8 games.
