'I think Barca has a bit more feeling than Madrid: potential board member Toni Nadal

Toni Nadal says that he's got both Barca and Madrid fans in his family.

He himself at first liked Madrid but fell in love with the Catalans thanks to Cruyff.

His brother, Miguel Angel, got to play for Blaugrana.

"My family is divided. Some are Real Madrid fans and others are Barcelona fans. When I was a child, in Franco's time, they made you join the government team, but when I was 16 I went to live in Barcelona to study and play tennis and I fell in love with Cruyff's Barca," Toni Nadal has told Diario Sport.

"I have always been a big fan of Cruyff. Every week I went to the stadium to watch him play. I felt much closer to Catalunya and Barca and when Miguel Angel (his brother) signed for Barca, [my love] grew bigger.

"Barca have a bit more feeling than Madrid. Madrid also have it, it's also a club that belongs to the people (members), but I think that Barca represents something more."

Toni Nadal is the uncle and coach of tennis star Rafael Nadal. He is also a Barca club member and Victor Font has revealed that Toni will be part of his board if he wins the presidential election.
