Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink list 2 areas Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham needds improvement

The ex-Blue is not impressed by the 23-year-old's progress this season.

His hold-up play could be improved dramatically.

Equally, Abraham's movement leaves much to be desired, Hasselbaink argues.

"I haven't seen a big improvement in Tammy Abraham this season at Chelsea," ex-Blues forward Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink told Ladbrokes.

"Things looked really promising last year, but for me, he hasn't kicked on. It doesn't matter that Frank Lampard has brought in players - Abraham is still getting enough playtime.

"I think he can improve his hold-up play significantly. I also think he needs to work on his movement when players are coming in from wide positions.

"He's making straight runs and there's not enough sharp movement to take defenders out of position to create space. He doesn't do that enough - and if he did I think he'd score a lot more goals."

It's clear that Abraham is not a finished article as a player, but he's clearly a promising one - his stats certainly suggest so.

Not only that, but Tammy also appears to have linked up nicely with Timo Werner - the two forwards could become a reliable attacking duo for years to come.
