Jordi Alba tips Sergino Dest for 'great' Barca future after American's debut goal

Dest netted his maiden goal for the Blaugrana in the 4-0 win over Dynamo Kyiv on Tuesday.

The United States international is the perfect full-back for Barcelona with the qualities he has, according to Alba.

"Dest comes with a lot of desire. With Sergi Roberto's unfortunate injury he will surely have more opportunities," Jordi Alba told Marca after Barcelona's 4-0 victory over Dynamo Kyiv on Tuesday.

"I think he has a high level. He has a great future and fits perfectly with the characteristics that a full-back at Barca should have."

The 20-year-old has made eight appearances for the Catalans since joining the club from Ajax in early October. Dest scored his debut goal for Barca in Kyiv.

As Sergi Roberto is set to miss up to two months through a fresh injury blow, Sergino has a very good chance of becoming Ronald Koeman's first-choice right-back in the following weeks.
