Marco Asensio's main objective is to reach 100% After being left out of Spain squad

16 months ago, Asensio picked up an anterior cruciate ligament injury which isn't easy to recover from.

According to Marca, Marco Asensio is aiming to return to his 100% form even though he hasn't been included in the Spain squad for the upcoming internationals.

More than a year ago, the Real Madrid star injured his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and although he has recovered, he's not back to his best just yet.

Marca notes that it takes patience to fully regain form after a setback as serious as an ACL injury.

Based on studies conducted, players who suffer an ACL injury could experience dips in performances for the next two years after recovery. And Asensio is at that very crucial stage.

The report adds that Zinedine Zidane completely trusts Asensio - a factor that will do wonders for the 24-year-old's confidence.
