Neymar is not among the top 30 best players in Europe and I wouldn’t sign him for Barcelona: Presidential candidate Freixa

Neymar remains linked with a return to Camp Nou ever since leaving Barca in 2017.

Toni Freixa is not a big fan of the Brazilian because of how he left the Catalans and his current level.

“I wouldn’t sign Neymar if I was elected president because of how he left the club and his level,” presidential candidate Toni Freixa said in a recent interview with El Larguero.

“Currently, Neymar is not even among the top 30 best players in Europe.”

Many Barcelona fans were hurt by the way how Neymar left Camp Nou in 2017. He didn't negotiate his exit with the Catalans but immediately agreed to join Paris Saint-Germain, who paid his €222m release clause.

Nevertheless, the Brazilian remains linked with a return to Barca ever since leaving Catalonia. Considering all the consequences of the Covid-19 crisis, it's hard to imagine the 28-year-old's comeback to Camp Nou anytime soon.
