'No one asks about our health': Modric unhappy with tight calendar

Modric believes that the footballers are playing too many games right now. The midfielder says that this is going to lead to a lot of injuries.

"It is true that there are too many games now in the year. Every three days with national teams, Europe, Leagues... That's how it is, we live in a complicated time and it seems that they always want to implement more competitions and no one asks about our health," Luka Modric has said.

"Today there are many injuries the world over. You also have to think about the coronavirus and that is mentally tiring. That leads nowhere, many players are going to be injured. I don't know if anything will change but we have to be prepared, recover and play our best."

Starting with La Liga matchday 3, Real Madrid has been playing twice a week, only stopping during the international break. However, many Blanco players leave for their national teams where they also play two or even three games inside 10 days.
