Tammy with nice performance and 6 more takeaways from Chelsea win over Newcastle

A professional performance from the Blues saw them win 2-0 away to Newcastle.

Chelsea started the game with great energy, controlling the game and possession in the first 20 minutes.

They made their dominance count with a well-worked corner routine forcing an own-goal from Federico Fernandez.

Werner had excellent opportunities to score but couldn't convert even when 1v1 with the Newcastle keeper.

The midfield of Kante, Mount and Kovacic provided excellent cover for the defence and linked up well with the attack.

Tammy Abraham scored the decisive second goal to kill off the tie, making it 3 goals in 3 games now. The Chelsea striker is in excellent form.

Edouard Mendy didn't have to make a save until late into the second half and managed to get his 4th Premier League clean sheet.

Kurt Zouma, Reece James and Ben Chilwell all performed admirably again, with this Chelsea defence gelling together excellently.
