Ter Stegen lists reasons behind his contract renewal with Barcelona

The goalkeeper describes Barcelona as a true home for him and his family.

He thanks the fans and promises to win more trophies.

"Barcelona has become a home for my family. So, it was clear, the direction to take," Marc-Andre ter Stegen told the club's official media, speaking of his renewal.

"It's not just about playing for the biggest club in the world; it's more than that. The city and the fans have treated me like one of their own since the beginning, and this is important to me. A feeling I will never forget.

"I want to be a player at Camp Nou for many more years and keep winning trophies. There is no greater motivation. Hopefully, in the near future, with our fans once again."

Ter Stegen has recently signed a new 5-year deal with Barcelona. The 28-year-old has made 238 appearances for Blaugrana, securing a solid number of 100 clean sheets.
