'Barcelona move crowns my career. It is something phenomenal': Pjanic after winning Bosnia Sportsman of the Year award.

Miralem Pjanic has won Bosnia and Herzegovina's Sportsman of the Year award.

This is the first time he's recognised as the best sportsman in his country.

Pjanic says he wants to be a great example for Bosnian children so that they could also play for 'the best clubs in the world' one day.

"I have had a successful season with Juventus, and the move to FC Barcelona crowns my career, it is something phenomenal," Miralem Pjanic has said after winning Bosnia and Herzegovina's Sportsman of the Year prize.

"This [prize] will be an extra reason for me to work harder and be an example for our children in Bosnia and Herzegovina so that one day they will be part of the national team and the best clubs in the world," the 30-year-old added.

Interestingly, the player has won the prize for the first time in his career. Among other Bosnian footballing stars, only Hasan Salihamidzic and Edin Dzeko could boast about this feat.
