De Jong reacts to his assist to Messi: 'I need more of those'
De Jong says that it always feels good getting an assist but he is aware that he still has a lot of improvement to do.
The Dutchman reveals that Barca expected Levante to put more pressure during the game.
"Assisting Messi? It always feels good getting an assist. I need to get more assists but today was a good start," Frenkie de Jong told reporters after the Levante game.
"I have to improve a lot and I know that. We expected Levante to put up a lot of pressure, but that wasn't the case and we had to change the plans."
De Jong played a good game vs Levante, performing excellently both as a central midfielder and as a pivot. The Dutchman has now recorded two assists in 16 matches for Barcelona this term.
