Emery blasts Kubo: 'We're not here to give 10 games in a row to a player who doesn't offer anything'

Villarreal's coach says the Japanese winger is underperforming, He adds that the 19-year-old isn't showing the required level in his displays.

"Kubo? We're not here to give 10 games in a row to a player who doesn't offer anything," Unai Emery told RMC Sport.

The Villarreal coach added: "I can't give young players 10 games to perform well, I give them one and they have to perform. That's football at the highest level."

After the manager's harsh words, the Japanese gem is now highly unlikely to continue at Villarreal. There have been a lot of rumours linking Kubo with another loan in January.

Kubo has scored 1 goal and provided 3 assists in 19 games in all competitions.
