Gary Neville compares Abraham to Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino

Neville feels that Abraham is not a striker who can get 15-20 goals as a centre-forward and compares the forward to Roberto Firmino at Liverpool who also does more off-the-ball work.

The former Man United player says that Tammy needs to keep scoring goals to keep people away from him.

"He’s going to get 12-15 goals, the pressure will come on him when they say Chelsea need a goalsc
rer," Gary Neville said on Sky Sports.

"I know they’ve got Werner who can score from wide areas but when the centre-forward isn’t scoring 15-20 goals a season, he’ll come under pressure. He’s got to get those goals early in the season.

"He could be the Firmino at Liverpool, who sometimes gets questioned a little bit for not scoring enough goals.

"But I don’t think anyone that knows football questions him because they know what he brings to the other two, they get more plaudits and scores goals but he does a lot of the work that supports that.

"I just think at Chelsea, he will get put under pressure. A young striker, an English centre-forward, he just needs to keep scoring goals to keep people away from him, to make sure those clouds don’t build."

In 20 games so far this season, Tammy Abraham has already scored 7 goals along with providing 6 assists.

Meanwhile, Liverpool's Roberto Frimino is on 5 goals and 3 assists this season.

The striker has largely done well when played with Timo Werner and the results speak for themselves.
