Laporta refused to give his opinion on Font's project, he is focused on collecting signatures at the moment.

However, he's sure that Xavi and Jordi Cruyff would play an important role at Barca one day.

"Revealing my sporting project? I don't want to get into this game because it would destabilise Barcelona," Joan Laporta said during his presentation.

The former president also commented on Victor Font's sporting project, who revealed he wants to hire Xavi as general manager and Jordi Cruyff as sporting director.

"Xavi Hernandez and Jordi Cruyff? I know and appreciate them. I know that one day they will play a relevant role at Barca.

"I respect the proposals of the other candidates. I hope they are true. But I didn't join the election race to comment on the ideas of other candidates. I'm focused on collecting signatures."

For now, we don't know anything about Laporta's future plans at Barcelona. There have been reports that he wanted to offer former Valencia director Mateu Alemany a position at the club.
