Laporta: 'We have to encourage Koeman to continue. The results will mark what happens next'

Laporta says the club now has to find a way to motivate the coach and the players. The former president is certain that Barca will rise again as they're used to comebacks.

"Sacking Ronald Koeman? I have always given support and tried to motivate the coaching staff and the players. The results and football will mark the margin of what happens, but we have to encourage him to continue and motivate the players. Anything can happen in football," Joan Laporta said during the presentation of his electoral project.

"Everyone has their own way of expressing what they feel. Everyone has their own way of motivating their people. I learned that when we won our first league with Rijkaard, Barca have experienced great comebacks."

Barcelona have struggled a lot under Koeman this season, as they currently sit in sixth place in La Liga. The Catalans have registered seven wins, four draws and four losses.
