Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp reveal centre-back Joel Matip doubtful for team clash against Tottenham.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp admits centre-back Joel Matip is a doubt for the team's top of the table clash with Tottenham.

The Reds are struggling in defence due to injuries to the likes of Virgil Van Dijk, Joe Gomez and now Matip.

Klopp will have to play makeshift defenders in the game, with Fabinho and possibly another midfielder starting in there on Wednesday.

"We don't know yet," he told his pre-match press conference about Matip.

"Only two days ago we played, and he left the pitch with a back spasm.

"The physios worked pretty much 24 hours on him.

"We will see.

"We have another session today, and we will see."
