Paul Scholes tips Mason Mount for even larger role at Chelsea

The academy graduate has been an outstanding all-round performer this season.

Ex-Man United midfielder, however, experts him to become a more prolific player upfront, too, not unlike his manager.

In short, Mount has the potential to win games for the Blues, Scholes believes.

"I think Frank’s doing a brilliant job with the team and he’s got an identity everyone knows," Paul Scholes said on Amazon Prime.

"I think they have got the players; they’re young players and they will take time. Mason Mount could be a Frank Lampard, he’s got the ability to win games for Chelsea. In years to come, he will score a lot of goals like Frank."

It might be too early to make a serious comparison between the boss and the midfielder (although some Chelsea fans already do this).

It's no use denying, though, that Mount has been one of Chelsea's best performers recently - and stats confirm that view.
